Delinquent Taxes

2025 Tax Sale will be held Nov. 3-4 at Township Auditorium. Register to bid.

When property taxes are not paid by the due date, they become delinquent.

Once delinquent, penalties and interest are added based on the amount owed and how late the payment is. If taxes remain unpaid, the property may eventually be subject to the annual tax sale, where it can be auctioned to recover the debt.

What You Should Know

• Pay on time to avoid penalties and interest.
• If your property taxes become delinquent, you’ll receive notices from the Treasurer’s Office.
• Payment plans are available, but the full amount must be paid to avoid further action.
• Properties with unpaid taxes may be listed in the public tax sale, typically held each fall.
