The Richland County Conservation Commission and the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District offer various funding opportunities to help organizations promote conservation and preservation in Richland County.
Richland County public, private, and alternative schools are eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in grant funding to support conservation projects and youth environmental education initiatives. To be eligible for funding, schools must be located in Richland County or serve Richland County students. The Richland County Conservation Commission Historic Preservation Grant Program helps non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, institutions, and commercial entities preserve and protect historic buildings in Richland County. Grants are available up to $50,000 and may be used for preservation/restoration costs, consultant fees, or educational programs.
