South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS)

Class III Member (Joined after 7/1/2012)

Unreduced Monthly Retirement Benefit:

  • Total age + Years of service = 90+
  • Age 65 and older

Reduced Monthly Retirement Benefit:

  • Available at age 60

Requires a minimum of 8 years of earned service

Police Officer Retirement System (PORS)

Class III Member (Joined after 7/1/2012)

Unreduced Monthly Retirement Benefit:

  • 27 years of service
  • Age 55 and older

Requires a minimum of 8 years of earned service
