What We Do
- Serve as the intake center for Richland County, where individuals are held after arrest and while awaiting trial.
- Maintain a detention facility for sentenced offenders, housing those serving time for misdemeanors and felonies.
- Provide a secure environment for minimum, medium, and maximum security levels based on inmate needs.
- Deliver equal-quality housing and services for all detainees, regardless of the nature of their charges.
Community Engagement
We support the justice system by working closely with local and state law enforcement, the court system, attorneys and public defenders and community service organizations.
