Mungo Homes, a homebuilder with communities throughout the Southeast, is expanding its corporate headquarters in Richland County. The $10 million investment will create 40 new jobs.

At about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, a detainee from Richland County’s Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC) died at a local hospital.

A missing detainee from Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center has been apprehended and is back in custody.

Richland County’s new Residential Rental Property Registration Program will change registration and business license requirements for residential rental properties in unincorporated areas of the County.

Richland County Government offices will close Tuesday, July 4, to observe Independence Day.
