Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee
The Committee was created by the Richland County Council on January 22, 1985, according to state law, to make recommendations and provide advisory assistance to the County Council on the expenditure of revenue generated from the Accommodations Tax as required by Article 6, Title 12, Chapter 35, South Carolina Code of Laws. The Committee consists of seven members, the majority of which must be from the hospitality industry. At least two members must be from the lodging industry and one member must represent the cultural organizations. Terms are two years.
