Richland County’s Emergency Management Division continues active operations to ensure the safety of our residents and the communities we serve amid the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.
Richland County Government is reminding residents that the County has reopened to the public for business services.
The Richland County Emergency Management Division (RCEMD), along with the National Weather Service and state and local officials, urge residents who live along the Congaree River and those in low-lying areas to prepare for the heightened risk of flooding because of Hurricane Helene.
Richland County Operations will resume as normal on Monday morning. Employees that require alternate work schedules should contact their leadership.
Richland County Government offices will be closed to the public Friday, Sept. 27 because of the increased threat of inclement weather caused by Hurricane Helene. The County urges residents to prepare now, stay alert, and avoid any unnecessary travel.
