What: Town hall meeting to discuss rezoning requests in Council District 7 (Northeast Richland).

When: 6 p.m. Monday, May 20

Where: Crane Creek Gym, Crane Creek Community Center, 7405 Fairfield Road, Columbia

This in-person town hall meeting, organized by County Councilwoman Gretchen Barron, will discuss several rezoning requests:

• N/S Wessinger Road: light industrial (LI) to residential two (R2)
• 1626 Horseshoe Drive: institutional (INS) to residential six (R6)
• 2336 Hard Scrabble Road: heavy industrial (HI) to residential two (R2)
• S/E Rabon Road: residential three (R3) to residential five (R5)

In order for Richland County Council to enact a rezoning request, an ordinance amending the official zoning map must pass three readings by majority vote.
