Richland County Councilmembers Joyce Dickerson, District 2, Torrey Rush, District 7, and Paul Livingston, District 4, invite their constituents – and all residents – to learn more about a land partnership opportunity between Richland County and Vulcan Materials Company. A plan is proposed for Vulcan to purchase surplus property at the County’s C&D Landfill, with the County permitted to continue to utilize materials from that property as needed. Vulcan’s quarry and the C&D Landfill are neighboring properties off Monticello Road, in Upper Richland County.

Richland County taxpayers saved more than $20 million in two years when Richland County and Vulcan previously worked together on a special dirt-disposal project that concluded in 2016.
