Councilwoman Dickerson joined other Councilmembers and state officials in celebrating the ground-breaking ceremony for the new China Jushi fiberglass manufacturing plant located in the Pineview Industrial Park off Shop Road. The new production plant – which will be China Jushi’s first manufacturing operation in the United States – is expected to bring $300 million and 400 jobs to the local economy. Richland County Councilwoman Joyce Dickerson, who also serves as Chair of the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL), will travel to New Jersey next week to help install the new Chair of the prestigious organization of women elected officials.

At its first meeting of the year Tuesday, members of Richland County Council chose Norman Jackson to be Chair and Joyce Dickerson to serve as Vice Chair for 2014.

Councilwoman Dickerson recently attended her 50th high school reunion in Savannah, GA.
