County Councilwoman Gretchen Barron (District 7) is holding this free, holiday-themed event, catered toward children and others who still need the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Medical University of South Carolina will provide vaccinations to adults and children ages 5 and older who need their first or second dose. Those eligible for a booster shot or third dose can also receive one, per state health guidelines.
The County will give $100 gift cards to residents getting their first dose of the vaccine, while supplies last. No appointment is needed to receive the vaccine, which is free and does not require insurance.
In addition to getting vaccinated, children can meet Santa Claus at this event. Other activities for kids will include stations for making stockings and ornaments. There also will be a book bag giveaway, while supplies last.
Registration for this event is not required but is welcome for planning purposes. Register here.
