Want to better your neighborhood, but don’t know how? To celebrate National Community Planning Month, Richland County’s Neighborhood Improvement Program will host this expo focusing on using local resources, supporting local businesses, and teaching neighborhood leadership.
Expect enrichment resources, lessons and demonstrations from local businesses, local nonprofits, local for-profits and other organizations. Get the tools to be a better neighborhood leader.
Popular restaurants will sell food on site. In the spirit of Halloween, children dressed in costume will receive free candy. Face coverings are required, and physical distancing will be in effect.
Note: In conjunction with this event, COVID-19 vaccinations will be provided from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Meeting Place Church of Greater Columbia, 201 Columbia Mall Blvd., Columbia. The Medical University of South Carolina will administer the Pfizer vaccine. Richland County will provide $100 gift cards to the first 250 new vaccine recipients. You must live in Richland County to receive a gift card.
