COVID-19 has affected many of our community members financially and spiritually. Richland County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is one way to provide people both hope and financial help, specifically if they rent their homes and need help to cover past-due rent and utilities, and possibly some future rent.
With that in mind, Richland County is hosting a virtual Zoom meeting for faith leaders to highlight ERAP and resources to help connect members of the community to potential rent and utility assistance.
Please send an email with the names and emails of the people attending and which church or faith community you represent. You can also submit questions in advance. This will enable the County to send the Zoom link for the meeting to all registered participants, track outreach efforts and send out any follow-up materials.
People can also apply online for ERAP at www.richlandcountysc.gov/ERA or through in-person assistance from Richland County’s Government & Community Services department or Richland Library’s social work team.
