The Richland County Public Works Department is holding a virtual meeting to discuss an upcoming sidewalk project.
The County plans to install a 4-foot-wide concrete sidewalk along Longreen Parkway to create a safe pedestrian walkway and fully connect Clemson Road with Longtown Road. The sidewalk will also connect Longleaf Middle School and Sandlapper Elementary. The project will also include pedestrian curb ramps with detectable warning devices at crosswalks and two flashing school zone signs.
Public Works staff, including Michael Maloney, director, Stephen Staley, County engineer, and Gary Burton, engineering associate, will speak during the meeting and answer questions. Project engineer Daniel Atkinson and engineering associate Preston Holt of Holt Consulting will also be present.
Residents should submit questions during the meeting via Zoom using the "Chat Box" feature. See above for Zoom info.
