Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices

Traffic control devices shall be defined as all signs, signals, markings, and other devices intended to regulate, warn, or guide traffic, placed on, over, or adjacent to a street, highway, pedestrian facility, or bikeway by authority of a public agency having jurisdiction.

Building 

On August 22, 2018, the South Carolina Building Codes Council approved and adopted codes and appendices, modifications and  the latest editions of the mandatory codes referenced in S.C. Code Ann. §6-9-50 (1976, as amended) to be enforced by all municipalities and counties in South Carolina. The Council established the implementation date for local jurisdictions as January 1, 2020.

The adopted modifications and the mandatory codes are as follows:

2018 South Carolina Residential Code or the 2018 International Residential Code with SC modifications 2018 South Carolina Fire Code or the 2018 International Fire Code with SC modifications
