Electronic Plan Submission

On May 21, 2014, Richland County launched TRAKIT9™, the latest GIS land management software solution from CRW Systems, Inc.   This highly anticipated software system was carefully chosen to facilitate the integration of planning and developmental software systems, as well as streamline plan review/permitting processes and inspection services for several Richland County Departments.

As a result, contractors will now be able to apply for permits, submit plans electronically, and track progress all through an online portal to provide efficient and effective delivery of services.

How to Get Started

Complete the registration form and email it to Nicole Dail to register as a contractor.  An email with your account login instructions will be sent after Ms. Dail has registered you.  Please login and change your password upon your first login.

Applying for Your Fire Protection Permits:

Tutorial

Paying for Your Permit:

Once your permit has been approved, you will receive an email notification of approval and prompt for payment. You can then log into eTrakit to pay for your permit.  Fees are calculated based on job value.  Please see Permits page for how fees are calculated.

Receiving Your Permit:

Once payment is complete, email your payment confirmation to Tina Robinette  to have your permit issued.  An email notification of issuance will then be sent to you and you can log into eTrakit to print your permit and begin installation.
