To celebrate Community Planning Month in October, the Richland County Neighborhood Improvement Program will hold its Annual Planning Conference. This year’s theme, "Planning for Resiliency," promotes environmental resilience in the community, with a focus on the effects of extreme temperatures as well as mitigation.
The conference will feature talks and panels about resiliency in the Midlands with environmental experts and representatives from government departments and local nonprofits. Conference attendees will come away with the knowledge and resources to better prepare themselves and their neighborhoods for the effects of extreme heat and climate change.
Note: The conference is at full capacity, and the County can no longer accept registrations for this event.
