Richland County is having a special community “clean sweep” for Trenholm Acres in District 3, making it easy for residents to dispose of household items not normally accepted at curbside collections.
Residents of the Trenholm Acres neighborhood can participate in the clean sweep, which is organized by Richland County Councilwoman Yvonne McBride, District 3, and Special Services, a division of Public Works. Items must be placed curbside Friday, July 13, as workers will begin picking up the items at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 14.
The following items will be accepted:
Bulk items (furniture, washers and dryers, refrigerators, push mowers free of gas and oil, bicycles,
disassembled swing sets, etc.)
Similar materials should be placed together in separate piles (keep tires together, bulk items together, yard waste together, etc.) Items not accepted include hazardous waste, batteries, electronics and liquid waste.
Special Services officers will patrol the neighborhoods to offer assistance the day of the clean sweep.
